I traveled across the U.S. visiting Experian's clients, both big and small, to discover why they use BIQ to inform me on design decisions I should make for the overall redesign. I had the opportunity to build empathy by sitting in on a Credit Analyst's typical workday, discover compensating behaviors, and demo designs to gauge interest and usability.
In conjunction with Google Material, we coordinated with other departments within Experian and created a design system we call EDS. It contains requirements on commonly used components, design principles and an accessibility guide.
